Origins of warmth in the kitchen.

Origins of warmth in the kitchen.

Yes, there was an act of grocery and the easiest and closest black shiny surface I found was on top of a laptop!

  2. I love this. Was this done with a flash? I'm looking to learn some lighting technique over the colder months.

  4. A lovely portrait of an everyday thing, which lifts it right out of the ordinary! I, too wondered about the settings, but it stand you strip your metadata out before uploading (I hope you leave in the copyright info, at least!). Beena R

  14. Ellie Kennard That used to be my default settings, to strip data unless needed for mentorships etc. But once in a while I leave it when I am happy about the exposure :))
I went back to check the settings.. Viola.. there is an exposure compensation (+0.7) which I did not choose, meaning it must be accidental!
The settings: Taken with a 105 mm f/2.8 lens, hand held at f/11, iso 400 @ 1/50 sec. I just used light from one incandescent source on the left , a table lamp and may be ambient light from led coming from the top ceiling. Knew it was not perfect at that iso but didn't have time to experiment.
And about the copyright, I have a question coming to you in a PM :)

  18. Elaine Hutchings Thank you. I need to look out for something that has a larger surface area as I found it hard to hide the shiny label/letters with my pov :)
